 Position Overview:


The Chief People Officer (CPO) is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The CPO provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive team and owners. This position will report directly to the CEO and serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team that will manage and oversee a global HR team.



General Responsibilities:


  • Leading and developing a global HR team that is focused on developing, implementing, and managing HR programs and initiatives throughout the business.
  • Ensures alignment between people strategies and Company vision.
  • Developing, shaping, and sustaining the cultural strategy for the Company.
  • Effectively guides, plans, designs, develops, and manages human resources services, policies and programs related initiatives that support the organizations goals.
  • Define and design global people programs that have practical and business relevant impact.
  • Provides direction and oversight related to organizational design, talent acquisition, succession planning and talent development.
  • Ensures that the compensation and benefits programs are competitive, modern, and compelling while meeting the Company’s budgeting targets.
  • Create employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of morale and motivation.
  • Influencing the executive staff to align human capital strategy with the organization’s strategic plan and growth targets.
  • Leading the Company’s external employer brand.
  • Develop and implement the Company’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and strategy to attract, hire and maintain a diverse workplace.
  • Present to the Executive Leadership team and owners on various high-level HR topics.
  • Additional duties as assigned. 




  • College degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development; advanced college degree preferred (e.g., Master’s degree).
  • 15+ years of progressive high-level HR experience.
  • Proven experience in designing and driving long-term strategy for a global people function.
  • Global experience in multiple HR specialties (e.g., compensation, benefits, employee relations, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, employment law).
  • A successful track record of leading the full spectrum of People functions.
  • Prior experience managing a geographically dispersed HR team.
  • Have demonstrated an ability to work alongside C-level executives as a trusted peer and strategic advisor.
  • Ability to be a “hands on/roll up your sleeves” leader.
  • Ability to travel globally as required.
